With WAVP in Eugene, a trip to John Day Fossil Beds is convenient. Although no group trip has been planned, the monument is an available resource. The Thomas Condon Visitor Center is open 10am-5pm daily. The visitor center is located on HWY 19, near the junction of HWY 126. If you have general questions, email joda_interpretation@nps.gov.

Researchers planning a visit should refer to https://www.nps.gov/joda/learn/nature/visiting-researchers.htm or email joda_paleontology@nps.gov for more information. Note that researchers should contact JODA at least two weeks ahead of time to schedule a visit.
