The featured image is a set of senjafuda or nōsatsu (votive slips) from Warner’s collection. They depict three hand-made woodblock prints of various Westerners from a turn-of-the-century Japanese perspective. These particular objects were once owned by fellow collector Frederick Starr, and are now available for viewing here, through Oregon Digital and Special Collections & University Archives.
