By the end of this course, I hope to understand how Denmark and the Netherlands utilize sustainability, safety, and efficiency in the street design. I want to learn how to observe the differences between each location and recognize why some places have certain features and others don’t. I want to take this time to reflect on my personal environmental impact. When I return home, I hope to feel inspired by the lessons I learn on this trip to incorporate biking into my daily life. I am so excited to witness and experience the norms of everyday life within these locations. I can’t wait to understand how efficiency, transportation, and sustainability interrelate and affect all aspects of life.
