UO Science Story is a digital publication by the University of Oregon that promotes the development of storytellers who synthesize science with narrative and utilize diverse visual mediums. Students from the School of Journalism and Communication work alongside students studying in the sciences to find, pitch, and produce stories.
In addition to helping develop the next generation of storytellers, this publication collectively creates a sedimentary collection of place-based stories emanating out from Eugene, Oregon, across the Pacific Northwest.

THANK YOU
A class and publication like this doesn’t live within the normal parameters – or funding models – of a university. This work happens with support from The Roundhouse Foundation, The Dixon Family, the University of Oregon Center for Science Communication Research, the Deans of the Schools of Journalism and Communication, and the many staff and faculty at the SOJC who helped us along the way to keep the work moving forward.
