Apply to UO NRT

Applications are currently closed for the 2024-2025 year.

Who

Selected trainees will have the opportunity to receive 1-year funding as well as travel and other support. This program is a partnership between UO academic STEM departments and industrial and other non-academic members.

Enrollment in the UO NRT program is open to first or second-year PhD students. Students typically will come from graduate programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biology, Human Physiology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Physics, Mathematics, and Bioengineering.

We strive to build a diverse and inclusive program in which our trainees are supported and thrive. We encourage students from underrepresented groups in STEM to apply.

Financial Support

Trainees who are U.S. citizens, nationals, and permanent residents are eligible for NRT funding to participate in the program as Fellows. To be eligible for funding, the applicant must not have an alternative/competing fellowship (NIH, NSF, etc.). It is possible to participate in these programs as a trainee and receive the non-monetary, professional development benefits that the program offers.
