Hansell was first elected in 2012.

Previously, Hansell served as a Umatilla County Commissioner, being elected to eight consecutive terms. He served as President of the Association of Oregon Counties from 1987 to 1988, and President of the National Association of Counties from 2005 to 2006. Hansell worked as a Campus Minister from 1967 to 1979.

House District 29 includes rural Eastern Oregon’s Wallowa Mountains and the Columbia River Basin. It covers Umatilla, Union, Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman and parts of Wasco County.
Hansell was born and raised in Athena where he and his family have farmed for four generations. He currently lives in Athena with his spouse of 50 years, Margaret. They have six grown children and 11 grandchildren.

Senator Hansell is a proud Duck and wore yellow and green during his first floor speech.

Bobby Levy was elected to serve District 58 in 2020.

Rep. Levy helped form the Eastern Oregon Women’s Coalition, a non-partisan, non-political organization with the goal of educating elected officials, business leaders, and state agency directors about the vital role Eastern Oregon’s natural resource-based economy plays in the state. In 2019, the group organized the successful Eastern Oregon Summit.
Rep. Levy worked as a licensed insurance agent and accounting manager. She also worked as a substitute K-12 teacher as she earned her master’s and was then hired as an adjunct professor at Blue Mountain Community College where she taught courses on campus and online.

District 58 covers all of Union and Wallowa counties and a portion of Umatilla County.
