B.A., History/Economics, University of Massachusetts; M.A., Labor Relations, University of Oregon.
Brad Witt was first appointed representative of District 31 in 2005.
Rep. Witt has served on the State Boards of Forestry, Watershed Enhancement and the Forest Resources Institute. He has also co-chaired the bi-state Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership.
Rep. Witt worked as a labor economist with the National AFL-CIO, a research director for the Lumber Production & Industrial Workers, and Secretary-Treasurer of the Oregon AFL-CIO. He has also served on the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration committees on Education and Training and on Safe Employment.
District 31 includes all of Columbia County and northern parts of Washington and Multnomah Counties. It covers the communities of Rainier, St. Helens, Scappoose, Vernonia, and Clatskanie.
