Boomer Wright was elected to serve District 9 in 2020.
Rep. Wright grew up in Lorane, Oregon, after moving from California at age 10. He graduated from Crow High School. He taught elementary school and served as principal at a number of schools in the Siuslaw School District and finished his education career as Superintendent of the Mapleton School District.
After retiring from education in 2002, Rep. Wright worked at Selco Credit Union in Florence, served as General Manager of Sea Lion Caves, and worked as a substitute teacher at various local high schools in District 9.
District 9 covers portions of Coos, Douglas, Lane, and Lincoln counties.
Boomer has been married to his wife, Susan, for 27 years. They live in Reedsport and have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Boomer and his first wife, Andrea, had two children, Kelli and Byron, who both graduated from Siuslaw High School. Andrea passed away in 1991.
Education: Pacific University, Forest Grove, Bachelor’s, ’72.
Anderson was first elected to represent senate District 5 in 2020.
Anderson is the former Mayor of Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast and serves on the North Lincoln Health District Board as well as the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Board. While Mayor, Anderson served on the Lincoln County Foundation and the Oregon Coastal Zone Management Executive Committee.
Senator Anderson was raised in Wallowa County and has lived in the Northwest in several areas during his career before retiring. He worked for 35 years in the financial industry where he honed his collaborative approach to issues before moving to the Oregon coast. Senator Anderson has been active with the North Lincoln County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), B’nail B’rith Camp and Family Promise of Lincoln County as a volunteer, Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce and is an avid golfer.
District 5 includes all of Lincoln County on the Central Oregon Coast, as well as parts of Tillamook, Yamhill, Polk, Lane, Douglas, and Coos counties.
Dick and his wife, Sue have been married for 50 years and have two children and five grandchildren.
