Ginny Burdick was elected senator of District 18 in 1996. She served as Senate Majority Leader for five years after serving five years as Senate President Pro Tempore.
Burdick is a communications consultant specializing in crisis communications. She worked as vice president at Gard Communications in Portland, and as Environmental Policy Director at Atlantic Richfield Company. She was also director of environmental studies for Government Research Corporation in Washington, D.C., and was also previously a news reporter and editor.
Burdick has served on the Land Conservation and Development Commission, the Oregon Board of the Nature Conservancy, the Oregon Board of NARAL, Emanuel Hospital’s Council of Associates and the Program Committee of the City Club of Portland.
District 18 covers part of downtown and southwest Portland, as well as Tigard. It includes the PSU campus, as well as the neighborhoods of Vermont Hills, Maplewood, Metzger, Villa Ridge, and Bonita.

Lisa Reynolds was elected to serve House District 36 in 2020.
Rep. Reynolds is Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Early Childhood. She is a member of the House Committee on Behavioral Health and the House Committee on Water.
Rep. Reynolds is a pediatrician at the Children’s Clinic in southwest Portland. She was chief resident in pediatrics at Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital from 1994-95.
District 36 covers the neighborhoods of Downtown Portland, Old Town, the West Hills, South Waterfront, and down to Multnomah Village as well as UO Portland, Portland State University, and Oregon Health & Sciences University.
