This page contains resources for filming in the Knight Library on campus for both students and faculty.
First, please review the rules for filming in the Knight Library.
For Students:
You do not need to do anything when filming during class time or in-class exercises; your instructor will do that.
If you plan to film for a school project outside of class time please obtain filming permissions for Knight Library by completing this form. You will be able to notify them about any future dates and times that you will be filming in the library, keep in mind that requests must be submitted at least one week in advance.
Permission will be granted. HOWEVER, if you plan to shoot in one of the bathrooms here you will need to talk to your instructor and they will need to seek permission on your behalf.
For Faculty:
Faculty are responsible for emailing Library administration with all in-class shoot dates or in-class exercises that will be taking place in Knight Library. Because of privacy concerns and because of how these shoots can disrupt Library spaces, once you have your syllabus complete and know days that students will be shooting/recording outside of the classroom, please obtain filming permissions for please obtain filming permissions for Knight Library by completing this form.
Students are responsible for obtaining permissions for shoots that are outside of class time.
In almost all instances, faculty will be granted permission. HOWEVER, if students plan to shoot in one of the bathrooms here whether it be during class or for their own outside shoots, you will need to obtain permissions from Library administration on their behalf.
