Hayley Brazier, Stephanie LeMenager, Allison Ford, Marsha Weisiger, and Gordon Sayre in Harney County, Oregon, where the CEF conducted its first field school, taking oral histories from resource managers, ranchers, local historians, and the archeologist of the Burns Paiute Tribe. The histories will become part of the University of Oregon’s permanent digital archive and serve as a basis for LeMenager’s and Weisiger’s online project, “To Speak of Common Places: A People’s History of Oregon’s Public Lands.” Photo Credit: Parker Smith.
