For this assignment, we were asked to find a subject whose work or hobby is not only visually appealing to the video, but also good enough for an interview. My subject is a Local women’s basketball star, Ula Chamberlin who is a senior shooting guard on the Oregon Fighting Ducks women’s Division One basketball team. Even though the A roll portion is short, It highlights Ula in her pre-game habitat, right in front of her locker. This setting was perfect because it was a comfortable place for her while also being able to show the viewer where it was taking place. The majority of the B roll in the video portrays her daily routines when it comes to getting better at her game. All of it was shot in the Ducks practice gym. A very nice gym with amazing visuals that were captured in my Video story. One of my favorite clips is the wide shot behind the hoop that captures the Big green “O” with the phrase “Take Flight” underneath.
