Annual ASSA and WEAI Meetings

TPUG has a long history of presentations at the ASSA meetings, and more recently at the WEAI meetings.  At the ASSA meetings, TPUG holds four sessions – two in transportation economics and two in Public Utility economics.  Historically, one of the sessions is co-sponsored with the AEA.

To have your research considered at either the ASSA, please send a title, an abstract, and authors (and contact information for all authors) to Wesley W. Wilson at wwilson@uoregon.edu and Anming Zhang at anming.zhang@sauder.ubc.ca.  Professor Wilson will organize the Public Utilities sessions, and Professor Zhang will organize the Transport Economic Sessions.  For the WEAI conference (see weai.org), send all paper information to Professor Wilson.  The due dates are as follows:

ASSA-AEA:  Paper information is due by March 15

ASSA:             Paper information is due by May 1

WEAI:             Paper information is due by February 10.

All program participants for the ASSA meetings must register for the ASSA convention and become TPUG members ($25 TPUG membership fee or a $300 lifetime membership fee).  For the WEAI (typically held in June, see weai.org for more information),  Again, all program participants for the ASSA meetings must register for the WEAI convention and become TPUG members ($25 TPUG membership fee or a $300 lifetime membership fee).  It is noted that TPUG is an affiliated association of WEAI, and as such, they offer a 20% discount off of the WEAI conference fee (you could even make money by joining TPUG).

There is also a listserve which is used to disseminate information directly to members. Please contact the secretary (James Peoples (peoples@uwm.edu)) to add your name to the listserve.
