Vendor Selection

One of the initiatives coming from the IT Strategic Plan is the implementation of an ITSM tool in support of increasing IT staff efficiencies, facilitating better communication among campus IT units, enhancing the customer experience, and improving help desk support and coordination.

After careful review of all vendors, TeamDynamix was the selected ITSM tool vendor for campus.

Summary of how TeamDynamix was selected:

  • Implementation of an ITSM tool is one of the many IT Strategic Plan investment projects
  • May to July 2016: Requirements were gathered
  • July to August 2016: Evaluation of vendors (TeamDynamix, Cherwell, and ServiceNow Express)
    • Selection committee formed and requirements prioritized
    • Vendor questions created
    • On-site demo script created
    • On-site demos held
    • Vendors scored
    • TeamDynamix chosen
  • September 29: Contracts signed
  • October 3: PO issued to SHI
