Blog Posts

Our blog posts were meant to emulate a different characteristic described in “Made to Stick” by Chip and Dan Heath.

Blog Post 1: Our first blog post was inspired by Oprah Winfrey’s blog “What I Know for Sure.” We were supposed to keep it simple. We used the tips Chip and Dan wrote about keeping your writing simple in this post. Something I thought I “knew for sure” was servant leadership.

Blog Post 2: The second chapter of “Made to Stick” was about adding an unexpected element to your writing. For this post, I wrote about an unexpected event in my life that I thought would surprise and attract readers.

Blog Post 3: For this post, being concrete was the theme. I wrote about brand loyalty, something I feel passionately about. By including real Tweets as examples, I backed my ideas up and put them into context.

Blog Post 4: This blog post was unique because it was paired with an infographic. The infographic and blog post were meant to be seen as credible. Using information from Pew Research Center made credibility easy to obtain. I chose to make an infographic about millennial habits. I used my blog post to explain why these habits should matter to brands.

Blog Post 5: For our final blog post, we had the option of writing about something emotional or telling a story. My blog post landed more on the emotional side, as a wrote about my upcoming summer adventure that involves me leaving my comfort zone.
