Congratulations on being selected for the U.S. Department of State’s “Study of the U.S. Institutes.” We are very excited to welcome you to the University of Oregon! During your four weeks here on campus, you will have the opportunity to explore major issues and themes in the Environment. You will not only learn about the issues that most affect the people of Oregon, but you will be also able to share with others about the Environmental issues important to you. You will understand where the conflicts and collaborations occur among the various voices. You will engage in activities that will develop your leadership skills and return to your country with a practical plan that you are encouraged to implement. We hope that this experience will be memorable and life-changing.
