STEPHOSAUR is not my real name.  I am Stephanie, a first year Graduate student in the AAD program, with an emphasis in Media Management.  I will preface with my BFA degree in Illustration, as my background is in drawing and design, a good indicator of my mentality towards most things.

Whether or not I try, art is always a part of my life.  I say this knowing it is how most artists think, and that it is rather annoying, frankly, because hello! of course it is.  But really, it is a lifestyle, a choice, and something that you cannot choose to neglect.  Design has a huge impact on how I view the world around me.  Growing up with a primitive form of Netflix, namely having 500+ movies floating around my home, ingrained aspects of movie cover design and how it related to the movie itself managed to get stuck in my head.  Needless to say, I get even more good qualities (or not) from the cinematography!  I guess I say this because, it always is influencing my imagination.  I feel certain design tactics; rather good design really gets me excited.  Like a good commercial, if it actually makes you laugh or cock your head, then it has potential.  It has potential to sway an idea, a mind, a way of thinking; maybe attracting a potential client, friend, company.  Who knows.  But the idea that bad, or rather uneducated design exists, leaves space for a disconnect.  And disruptions are not very fun, unless it is a surprise [insert fun sport competition] or something… like that.  This program in arts management draws me so that one day, perhaps I can have that influence on minds malleable enough to accept my ideas.
