In the first two weeks we learned so many things about stars. In order to be a star the audience and fans are the most important elements for being a star. However, the stars are real people who live in our real world, but people do not want to see what the star’s real life looks like. Furthermore, people do not want to see what is real in a star’s life, they want to see what the perfect life is and what they want to see. Moreover, what matters for the public is not the real things that are happening in the stars life, while the most important thing for what people want to see is the character of the stars and not their real life. In other words, the persona is what matters; which means the character that the stars are playing in front of the audiences and it also can be known as the mask that stars wear in the public. On the other hand, we can see how the persona look like in the movie “gentlemen prefer blond” how Marilyn Monroe had her the dumb blond personality, it is not real but people liked her character of being the dumb blond. However, we all see how her body and her beauty makes everyone like her and want to be with her even if she is dumb. In addition, stars are always trying to deliver a message for us, they deliver it in their act and one of the most important messages is about sexuality. At the very beginning of the term we learn about sexuality and how people think of it. The idea of sexuality that lots of stars played like Marilyn Monroe is not accepted by every culture. Moreover, there are some people who do not agree with the idea of addressing sexuality through television, while there are others who think of it as an important aspect in our life and it should be addressed and everyone learns about it and sees it. Also, there is a different perspective of Marilyn Monroe movies not only in the cultural aspect but there are different thoughts between women and men. Men are always the ones who agree and love the concept that Marilyn Monroe delivers in her movie, while women did not see it as something attractive or something that they really enjoy watching. On the other hand, we can see how the idea of sexuality is the most important thing back then because people were not even know or care about the real name of Marilyn Monroe; where the producers was not addressing her in her name rather than they always call her the girl, women, showgirl, etc and no one care at all as long as they enjoy what there are seeing. As a final point, the blond and beauty was the most important thing that people were looking at and this is all what they want to see, someone who is beautiful and attractive, and they do not care about the real person behind this show.
