My work mostly falls within the realms of painting and drawing. I work heavily in my sketchbooks, especially when I am unable to be in the studio. This has become an important way of balancing my career in arts administration with being an artist, and my love for writing. My work tends to consistently exhibit linear qualities, written elements and repetition. I find myself often working with ideas around anxiety, stress, doubt and how we situate ourselves in this 21st century world; a continuous struggle between humanity, the natural world, and the omnipresence of media and technology. What is the “human experience” in the 21st century?
