  1. Mary Serieter. http://www.movingwithin.com/. Mary Seerieter lives in Eugene, Oregon. She created, developed, and led the Dance Program at Lane Community College from 1980 to 2003. She pioneered a somatic curriculum including Body-Mind Centering, Authentic Movement, Anatomy for Dancers, and studies in Laban Movement Analysis (the primary form of movement analysis used in dance/movement therapy).
  2. Lucy McIver. http://home.comcast.net/~kl747/lucy.html. Lucy McIver is a dance/movement therapist practicing in Eugene, Oregon. She graduated with an MA in Physical Education, and a BA in Dance from Ohio State University, and is a registered Dance Therapist with the American Dance Therapy Association. During her training as a Dance Therapist, Lucy focused on Authentic Movement for five years with Janet Adler, one of the early pioneers of this movement form. She is trained in both group and individual work and uses this as the base for her therapy practice.
  3. Alito Alessi. http://www.danceability.com/. Alito Alessi of Eugene, Oregon is the Artistic Director of DanceAbility International and co-founder of DanceAbility. DanceAbility is an international organization focused on dance as an all-inclusive art form, free from discrimination or any limiting factors such as physical disability. Alessi is internationally known is in the fields of contact improvisation, dance, and disability which makes him a great source for my project.
  4. Oblio Storyman http://lgbt.uoregon.edu/GetSupport/Counseling.aspx. Oblio Stroyman is a dancer, counselor, psychotherapist mainly focusing on patients with addictions. She is also a facilitator for Coalessence: Ecstatic Dance, a dance community event in Eugene, Oregon focusing on free-form self-expressive movement. Oblio hosts several healing focused movement workshops at her home dance studio in Springfield, Oregon on a monthly basis.
  5. Susan Alger. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Susan-Alger-Dance-Therapy/113462685388565. Susan Alger is a counselor and dance therapist practicing in Eugene, Oregon. She is also the Patient Services Manager at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She assists newly diagnosed blood cancer with peer-peer support, family support groups, and educational programs. Susan hosts community workshops in Eugene which lead participants through journaling, dance, movement, and group sharing for the purpose of healing.
