Other Supported Programs for UO Students
In addition to the AHA program that supports UO students’ participation in SPUR, UO applicants will be considered for institutionally supported funding provided by the Mary G. Alden Scholarship and other program funds, as available. Additional funding sources that can be awarded through the OURS application will be described here.
Other opportunities for UO undergraduates to receive support to conduct research on campus can be found through the Center for Undergraduate Research & Engagement (CURE) and the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). While some of these opportunities also support research in life science labs, many support a broader scope of opportunities.
Are you just getting started in undergraduate research at the UO and don’t know where to start? The informational page from UO’s Biology department “Undergraduate Research in Biology” provides excellent guidance.
