As someone who is glued to their phone 24/7, I love looking out for new trends on the horizon. It appears that an up and coming trend could be drawing inspiration from sailor fashion from the 1940s and Pinup girls. While I have seen only a few instagram posts with this theme, I think it could gain traction fast.
I first saw that the brand Rose Cut Clothing created an outfit inspired by Pinup girls. The stylish set was for Emma Vauxdevil. The piece was stunning and I was in awe with the idea and outcome.

The next hint I got that the oldies sailor vibe was back, was from a fit check video by Adrienne Reau in the streets of italy. While reaching into the capri pants trend she matched them perfectly with a sailor cap. Could the sailor cap be the staple accessory of future summers?

I have seen the classic sailor caps being worn for a bit now but could this transition into the smaller dixie caps getting the spotlight?
How could the inspiration being pulled from classic sailor fashion translate into everyday wearing and styling? For one, I think the classic dixie sailor cap could be the center of this trend. It’s different and classic. This trend could translate into classic sailor tattoos as well. The perfect accessory for any outfit! Maybe the low rise trend will die fast and we enter the high wasted shorts era again? There are many possibilities that I am excited to look out for!
