When developing the concept of this outsole, it was important to stress breathability. With that in mind, I decided to make the perforation gradual and increase in the number of channels leading up into the insole of the shoe. When force is applied, air is funneled into the shoe from the bottom, keeping this inner climate cooler than a traditional breathable upper.
