What is Voices for Equity: Intent vs. Impact (Student Project, Spring 2021)

The Voices for Equity: Intent vs. Impact Project was conceived by SOURCE students as an opportunity to give voice to some of the unheard experiences of members of the academic community at that time in the hope of reducing occasions of harm. By highlighting the wide array of potential impact of certain actions or words over the intent of those actions or words, the exhibit asked allies, friends, and the general community to slow down, and consider their / our daily from someone else’s perspective.  Voices for Equity: Intent vs. Impact Project was conceived by SOURCE students in 2019 and eventually came to life in Spring of 2021.

The future of this project will seek to highlight the ways we can be intentional about support and healing.
