Crescent Studio

Crescent Studio is a small recording studio founded in 1997 as a teaching environment, experimental portal, and personal project studio specializing in acoustic music. Come talk to owner Don Latarski about his many income streams as a musician, producer, recording engineer, and composer. Some opportunities exist on a per project basis, which includes video as well as audio projects.

Eugene Ballet

Eugene Symphony

Now in its 54th season, the Eugene Symphony is recognized as a cornerstone of the performing arts in Oregon’s southern Willamette Valley. Under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong, the Eugene Symphony pursues its mission of enriching lives through the power of music by presenting annual classical, pops and community engagement performances, regularly commissioning and premiering new American works, and disseminating its performances via radio broadcasts and recordings. Hult Center

The Hult Center for the Performing Arts is in Eugene, Oregon operated by the City of Eugene. More than 700 events and performances take place here each year. The Jazz Station

The Willamette Jazz Society is a non-profit organization established to promote the American art form of jazz music. We provide a venue at 124 W Broadway, Eugene for the performance of live jazz music and the experience of playing with professional musicians for music students interested in learning about jazz and its intricacies. The WJS relies on volunteers to operate the Jazz Station and provide the many services needed such as working at the front door/ticket desk, serving at our wine bar, providing sound and lighting for events, creating graphics for publicity, housekeeping, membership development, website updating, and grant writing. Kesey Enterprises (Cuthbert and McDonald theaters)

Kesey Enterprises operates both McDonald Theatre (which the business owns) and Cuthbert Amphitheatre (which the business leases from the City of Springfield). Kesey Enterprises also helps facilitate the annual Eugene Celebration, a three-day community event that features two stages of live music, among other activities. KWVA 88.1 FM

University of Oregon’s student-run radio station, operating since 1993! KWVA is a college radio station broadcasting from the EMU building on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Licensed to the University of Oregon, it serves the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area and has a live online stream. KWVA primarily plays a varied mix of music, in addition to talk shows and live college sports broadcasts. Learn about DJing and radio station management!

MEPAA – Music Education & Performing Artists Association

MEPAA provides access to music education and supportive arts resources in safe spaces that encourage artistic exploration. One of MEPAA’s signature programs is GRRRLZ ROCK, a month-long festival in November that celebrates the participation and growth of women and youth in music and the arts. Since 2006, thousands of performers and artists from all genres have been represented by the festival’s numerous events. Learn about ways to get involved! 

Music for Commercial Media (composer and producer Ehren Ebbage)

Ehren Ebbage is a BMI Film and TV award winner and Northwest Emmy nominated songwriter and composer. Now living in Oregon, Ehren has lived and worked in Los Angeles, Nashville and Seattle and began his career performing across the US, both as a solo artist and a sideman. Ehren’s interest in writing and production led him away from the stage and into the studio. Highly prolific, he has written custom music for dozens of TV shows and his music has been licensed for hundreds of advertising, television, and film productions. His music can be heard daily on every major US network and many others around the world. Come learn about how to break into the music and entertainment industry! 

Music Industry Collective (student group within Lundquist College of Business)

Founded in 2016 at The University of Oregon, The Music Industry Collective is a cross-disciplinary group for students to connect with each other, professionals, and opportunities. Orchestra Next

Orchestra Next is a training orchestra and the resident orchestra with the Eugene Ballet Company. Now in its 7th season, Orchestra Next has performed many productions with the Eugene Ballet, performed live national anthems for the World Indoor Track & Field Championships medal ceremonies, performed for Cirque Musica, and collaborated with the Eugene Concert Choir, Soromundi Lesbian Choir of Eugene, and UO Theatre Department. Resurrecting the tradition of the mentor-apprentice relationship, Orchestra Next combines Eugene’s creative and vibrant professionals with the region’s most talented protégés. Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) is a professional organization of music educators comprising private studio teachers and college music faculty across Oregon. OMTA sponsors statewide festivals, scholarships, and competitions to promote music in Oregon and provides workshops, master classes, and conferences to help music teachers maintain the highest standards of music education. The Pacific Artists Collective is a student-run interdisciplinary chamber orchestra that offers both students and community members not only a chance to perform, but also an opportunity to learn and experience all of the “behind-the-scenes” work that goes into productions. Shedd Institute

The Shedd Institute is a venue that presents and produces concerts and shows, and is also a music school that offers classes and lessons. The Shedd’s annual August classic Songbook festival, Oregon’s Festival of American Music features classic musical theatre, cabaret, and standards-based jazz. The Shedd Institute’s classical music series features both local and national artists. Shedd Classical touches on the full extent of the European art music tradition, with a special interest in the Americas and 20th century music. UO Music and Concerts (formerly Willamette Valley Music Festival)

The UO Music and Concerts (MAC) team creates student-based, free events that focus on music and the arts. The MAC is a committee of the Student Activities Board (SAB) of the Center for Student Involvement (CSI), an EMU program in the Division of Student Life. All Music and Concerts Team (MAC) members contribute to the content of their events and develop event planning skills. Each position has a specific role within the team.
