The Phenomenon of Place

In this reading the author emphasizes the importance of feeling/spirit of place rather than just the visual aesthetics of it. He really asks the reader to close their eyes and imagine what a place makes you feel and to be in tune with their senses as they go through the spaces that they are in. One quote that really stood out to me was where he said is that a space is made by the structure but a place is made by the areas surrounding it.
