In America, and especially in my family, the ending of Thanksgiving dinner means the start of Christmas. The second that dinner is over and we are done cleaning up, we go directly out to our garage, pull out our Christmas decorations and put them up. This is a symbol that Christmas is near because Thanksgiving is officially over.
