Final Review Response

My Concept is to explore live/work housing by combining living, playing, learning and working needs of the users by layering spaces of interaction to support the community. I want to treat the space in between volumes as streets, denoting a multi-level urbanism. multi-level urbanism. I will be grafting housing into an industrial area acknowledging the phasing needed to develop the supernal into a rich mixed-use livable neighborhood.
1. In the graphics about the demographics, there was “no voice”, The more interesting drawing was the urban design drawing.

I will alter the graphics to show more of my “voice” or process. I think once I have more of a grip of how the users inform space, It will become clearer of how I should present.

2. The presentation went too fast.
3. If you keep the original building, why not keep the structure?
I will not be keeping the original buildings on my site. I don’t think I can incorporate it successfully since it is not the main thing I want to focus on.

My own critique is that I have a concept, but I don’t have a convincing architectural approach or method that I can apply to each part of the process. I want to treat the spaces between the housing and work as interior streets. I want to examine what qualities support community. How can a method of examination and implication be performed?
