How do you values fit in a capitalistic USA, within the increasingly unaffordable housing market in Portlamd as it trends toward Seattle? What have we learned from Seattle? What models of cities fut your values? What does this mean for architecture.
Who owns your building? Will you make an office space for AirBnB? What if you had to?
The Vicente Guallart ideas…how can these be explored in your project and how do they represent a collective good and social values and yet not rely of the government? How inclusive is the livability of your development?
It seems than basic needs are important to you. How does this fit in the neighborhood of our site? Who lives there in an employment district of the industrial sanctuary.
I would suggest further readings by Guallart, Jacobs, Gehl and Rueda. If you are interested in sociology consider inclusive urban design.
