First Flight of Spring
I have a strong interest in ecology and natural history. During a recent visit to an area where I am mapping conservation zone for local non-profit group, I came across hundreds of dime sized moths flying around. It was a warm day after a long cold spell and I was surprised to see so many all flying. From a distance with the underwings showing, the moths tend to look white, but I had to know what they were. I came back the next day with net. Up close, there are not white at all this wonderful brown mosaic pattern – So, here we have Enchoria laceata.
