Botanizing

In the Eugene, Oregon area, we are lucky to have the Mt Pisgah Arboretum and one of the things that I enjoy most is getting out to identify everything I can in that area.  I also lead trips there for students.  In a few weeks there will be one through the university outdoor program.  We’ll focus on the upcoming wildflowers, but also on our lichen friends like this Usnea in the photograph above.
