Documenting Art / Teach-In : Teach-Out

UO Teach-IN

I am a little late with this one being that LGBT Pride Month is June and it is now early July, but I wanted to mention that the use of the Price Science Common’s (UO Library System’s) UAV/Quadcopter is  not just for research.  I have worked with Amy Harter and Julie Heffernan from the UO College of Education to use the UAV to document art projects relating to LGBT Pride events in our area.  The image above is a chalk art project out by the Living Learning Center on during a Teach-In event a couple of years ago.  Then, last year we used the quadcopter to document art work created by Lane County LGBT aligned middle and high school students during a social/support event at the Keefer Center in Springfield.  I would have photos of this year’s event had I not been out of town.  This has been a great way for the UO Library system to support not only Schools within the University community but the greater Lane County K-12 School System.
