Art in Tech

I am curating an art exhibit along with Jeremy Swartz,  for a an upcoming conference on technology.  Some of the types of work I will be showing are images generated by scanning electron microscopes.  The image above is a collection of tin nanospheres and I have given the black and white image a false color map using Image-j.  Color often leads to enhanced understanding of an images, even if the this one looks a bit psychedelic.

Here is one of my other pieces investigating the art of corrosion!   It’s a 160 lb slab of steel with salt and copper blocks.
