Meet the Safe Surf Squad!
We are a group of passionate and determined Educational Foundations students at the University of Oregon! We have all taken classes that inform us how technology advances education, and how the possibilities are nearly endless in the ways in which technology and education are interconnected and help one another. We hope to encourage your students to stay safe online, especially as children are gaining access to the Internet earlier and earlier.
Rocio Castellanos

Hello! My Name is Rocio Castellanos and I am a second year at the University of Oregon majoring in Educational Foundations and Spanish with a Latinx Studies minor. I serve as one of the Latinx Studies Ambassadors on campus as well as Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Kappa Alpha Theta. Through these roles, I have come out of my shell and made a ton of friends and learned how important it is to advocate for those who may not have a voice in a large space. I aim to become a High School Spanish teacher or possibly a professor!! I want to have an impact on my students the same way my teachers had an impact on me. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening and tending to my plants, taking photos and cooking.

Celine Salas

Hello! My name is Celine Salas and I am a second-year student here at the University of Oregon! I am an Educational Foundation major with a minor in Special Education — I am currently working towards my dream of becoming an Elementary teacher and hope to teach 1st-4th grade. I am currently the HR Director for Kappa Alpha Theta, which I am a member of and will be throughout my experience here at UO. Having the opportunity to be involved on our campus has allowed me to find my “home away from home”, it has been a remarkable experience finding my place and cultivating diversity + inclusion in spaces that have allowed me to advocate and lean on others for all to thrive in! When I am not in the classroom, I love hanging out with my friends, reading, running, and traveling.
