The Environmental Leadership Program was founded in 2001 with the intention of giving University of Oregon students the opportunity to engage in environmental issues through its service learning programs.

Students can choose between two types of programs: environmental education and conservation science. The ELP strives to help students gain professional and technical skills in leadership, communication, and project management.
