Christ’s hymn as a story

  1. The Christ hymn can be broken down into two parts the condescension of Christ and the exaltation of Christ. The first part is about how Christ isn’t equal with God but a form of God. Christ was modest and followed Gods rules and spoke his word. Christ was the human form and listened to God and sacrificed himself. The second part is saying that even though he isn’t God he is still powerful and important. People should come to him and pray and believe. God likes this obedience by making him the Lord of all, but still glorifying God of the Father.
  2. Christ wants the Philippians, Euodia and Syntchye to agree and become one with God. He wants them to help other women together to follow the gospel. Since there disagreements have affected the church. This compares to the Christ hymn story by God wanted Christ to obey and believe the same with Euodia and Syntchye. They all are speaking God’s word to the followers.
