Meet the Team

Anie Davis
Nurtured within the trickling creeks of Topanga Canyon, California, on the outskirts of big Los Angeles, Anie recognized an intricate harmony between humans and our environment. They (gender neutral pronoun) explored upstream to the University of Oregon and began as an Environmental Science major. Yet, their creative side moved Anie next door to the Environmental Studies department to cultivate minors in Geography and Food Studies. With free time, Anie loves to volunteer at urban tree plantings, art material recycling, getting dirty at a community garden or sharing their passion for music and poetry performance. So far, they have learned how photography is just one way to perceive our relationship with the changing world.
Riley Fortier
Riley was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and has always had a love for everything natural. After studying music in Minnesota for a year, he decided to go back to his Oregon roots and pursue a degree in environmental science at University of Oregon. In his free time, Riley enjoys playing and performing with his band, Power Nap. He also likes to keep an active lifestyle, whether it’s biking, hiking, playing basketball, rafting or cliff jumping. Water has always been a point of interest for Riley, and he is very thankful for the opportunity to express his love for natural sources of water through the art of photography.
Kelsey Goldstein
Kelsey was born in Chicago, Illinois and is now an Environmental Studies major at the University of Oregon. Her academic interests include resource management and environmental policy. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and playing her guitar. She looks forward to taking her newfound interest in photography with her as she continues to travel both the region – and eventually, the globe – and take scenic landscape shots of the beautiful places she encounters.
Heather Halvorson
Heather is an environmental studies major with a business minor at the University of Oregon. Being from Seattle, Washington she has always had a love for the natural world, and has enjoyed broadening her knowledge and interest in the environment since coming to the U of O. Her favorite things to do outside of school involve hiking, skiing, and photography. Taking photos has been a big part of Heather’s growing interest in the environment, which was the primary reason for being a part of this project. She is excited to have a space to express her growing love for both photography and the natural environment to her peers and the community.
Alicia Kristen
Through stories, art, and games, Alicia fosters community relationships and deep connections to nature. She works primarily as a place-based educator and mentor for Whole Earth Nature School. Her academic research bridges anthropology, environmental studies, game design, education, and folklore. Alicia strives to be a full-time curriculum designer and educator at a farm/forest school. In the meantime, she enjoys using her tech and graphic design skills to help good causes.
Sulley Schuster
Sulley Schuster is an environmental studies major at the University of Oregon. Her academic interests include environmental policy, geography, and geology. In the future, Sulley would like to go into environmental law or work for the Forest Service and/or National Parks system. Born in Kona, Hawaii, Sulley is passionate about the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and photography. This project has allowed her to explore freshwater ecosystems and to discover their value and beauty through photography.
Chancee Stumpf
Chancee grew up in Southern California before moving to Oregon. In her adolescent years she spent summers with her family camping along rivers and lakes where her love for the outdoors and water began. She also spent some time exploring the beautiful island of Maui which inspired her to study Environmental Science. Through this project she was able to find a creative outlet to express her passion for the world around her. In the future Chancee will continue to find creative ways to learn and potentially teach.
Anya Vollstedt
Anya is an environmental studies major, with specific interests in environmental justice and sustainable design. In her free time, she enjoys exploring natural landscapes and creating artwork. Anya started painting as a child and has embraced art as a significant part of her life since. A desire to explore new mediums of both art and environmental awareness led her to join this project, where the two could intermingle. Thus far as a photographer, Anya pays special attention to creating composition through strong angles and natural lighting.
