A collection of print ads that Dove has published in various publications. These ads are wonderful for proving that women of different skin colors, shapes, and weight can all be appreciated. These ads focus on the REAL.

Critiques or issues that one might consider are:

  • Were stretch marks or imperfections airbrushed/removed from these ads?
  • How were these women recruited for the ads?
  • Are all cultures represented or is one represented more over the others?
  • Is putting women in their underwear proving to help the stigma with “sexy” ads of women or reinforcing objectification?
