One of the areas I am interested in is the Krafla Central Volcano. Last summer I even got to take a trip with my advisor Ilya Bindeman and another graduate student David Zakarhov to visit the volcano and collect samples for oxygen isotope analysis!
Welcome to VolcanYES!
3 years ago, I stood on the edge of an ancient caldera and fell in love with the science of volcanoes. I began by studying ancient volcanoes but today I study the geochemistry of both old and young volcanoes. I investigate how magma forms and how that manifests at the surface. My primary goal is to spread enthusiasm and appreciation for the incredible world we live in.
