Psi Chi officers dictate what events the UO chapter holds during the year. Getting involved with leadership is a great opportunity to develop in-demand skills for employers, as well as strengthen your relationship to the UO department of Psychology.

We send out a call for executive board applications to members of the UO Psi Chi chapter during each Spring. The primary requirements to be considered for an officer role are:
- Membership in the UO Psi Chi chapter.
- Demonstrated involvement with UO Psi Chi campus events.
- Attendance in the University of Oregon for the upcoming academic year.

Core Executive Board Roles:
PRESIDENT
- Be a role model.
- Lead membership by defining and pursuing the goals and objectives of the chapter.
- Delegate responsibilities to other officers and members so that all members are involved in committees and/or activities.
- Find out what resources are available locally and Society-wide.
- Keep a list of objectives with dates and deadlines.
- Establish regular meeting times for the entire chapter, and officers and advisors.
- Plan fund-raising functions.
VICE-PRESIDENT
- Serve as program chair for the chapter by introducing speakers at local events and ensuring that all local events are properly publicized.
- Keep in close contact with the President, Faculty Advisor, and chairs of
committees; offer to assist these individuals as needed. - Perform the President’s duties either (a) in the absence of the President or (b)
at the President’s request. - Represent Psi Chi whenever the occasion arises
SECRETARY
- Take and record the minutes of each meeting.
- Keep a list of all committees of the chapter.
- Maintain all records of the chapter.
- Compile a list of email addresses of all chapter members.
- Notify all members and advisors of the place and time of meetings, elections, inductions, and other chapter activities.
TREASURER
- Verify information concerning Psi Chi funds, deposits, and accounts.
- Establish a working budget with your chapter.
- Pay all bills promptly.
- Report to the chapter on a regular basis, including an end-of-the-year report.
