Professional Development Tours (PDTs)
PRSSA Professional Development Tours offer students the opportunity to travel and visit various PR agencies and in-house work settings. In the past, we have visited agencies in Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. These tours allow students to hear from various PR industry professionals, expand their professional networks and get their questions answered.
In recent years we have visited Providence Health and Services, Allison+Partners, Edelman, Maxwell PR + Engagement, CMD, Matter Communications, WE Communications and Microsoft.
All students are encouraged to apply for Professional Development Tours, however, PRSSA members have priority. Application periods and tour dates are announced each term – you can find information and applications for upcoming tours at the top of this page. Please keep in mind that costs for transportation, hotel, food and other expenses are dependent on the location of the tour.
