VGA Connector Pin Assignments

DDC: Display Data Channel. Allows communication from monitor/projector and graphics card.

Shorter cable lengths can carry higher resolution signals. Please see the chart below for information about resolution and cable length.

VGA can be adapted to other analog signals such as DIV-A, and Component Video. Adapting a VGA signal to a digital signal requires a powered conversion adapter.

Passive adapters exist to adapt digital signals to VGA.
