The University of Oregon Piano Pedagogy Program offers piano lessons to students of all levels from age 6 to adult. The lessons are scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3–6:30 pm and on Saturday mornings from 9am–12pm at the School of Music and Dance in the Piano Pedagogy Office, Room 203. The lesson schedule is posted on the door.
The 40-minute piano lessons also include basic music theory as part of the student’s musical training. There is a Spring Recital each year in June for all students. Participation is encouraged but not required.
Parents are welcome to attend the child’s lessons. We request that parents remain quiet during the lessons. If parents prefer to wait in the lobby during the lessons we ask that they be on time to meet their child when the lesson is over. The School of Music and Dance cannot provide supervision for your child.
Tuition is due at the time of registration. Tuition is currently $180.00 and includes ten lessons during the 10-week term. Students must buy their own music and bring all music and materials to each lesson.
If the student cannot attend the lesson please give us notice within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time. One lesson per term may be rescheduled. Any lesson missed by the teacher will be rescheduled by the end of each term.
