Housing

University-owned apartment housing is available to a parent with legal custody of a child, a graduate student without children, or an undergraduate student twenty-one years of age or older without children. Three off-campus family housing facilities are also available.

Spencer View, the newest complex, has 272 apartments located about a half-mile southwest of campus. Two-bedroom apartments start at $805 per month, and three-bedroom apartments start at $914 (subject to change). The energy-efficient apartments are located close to grocery stores, schools, and parks. Each apartment is wired for high-speed Ethernet connection to the university’s computer network. Water, recycling, and garbage services are provided. Each apartment has a patio or a balcony as well as individual, locked storage areas. On-site child care is available for children from eight weeks to ten years of age.

A short distance from campus, Agate Apartments is a twenty-unit complex of one-, and two-bedroom apartments. Rent, starting at $760 a month (subject to change), includes access to the university’s computer network, water, garbage, and recycling service. Units include stove and refrigerator, but are otherwise unfurnished. Parking at Agate and Spencer View is limited to one vehicle per household.

Graduate Village is designed specifically for graduate students living on their own. Each unit features a modern bathroom and kitchen, and comfortable living and sleeping spaces. Studio apartments start at $677 per month and one-bedroom apartments start at $758 per month.

In addition to university accommodations, private housing may be obtained in a variety of apartment buildings, quads, duplexes, and houses in the area. Inquiries about university housing should be addressed directly to University Housing.
