The “Pheromone Arena” is a microfluidic chip that incorporates two levels of pillared arena with in which constant flow of odorants generated by animals in the upstream level, including pheromones and other small molecules, can be passed in real time to individuals in the downstream arenas while channel filters preclude physical contact between the populations.
