Resources for Community Organizations

The Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Parenting Engagement Resource Center (PERC) has established a nationwide Data Collective in collaboration with treatment centers, medical providers, and community-based organizations across the United States. Our focus is on supporting pregnant, postpartum, and parenting individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) by creating research that addresses their unique needs within medical, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services.

How Your Organization Can Help

Attend a 30-minute meeting with our team to discuss engagement strategies and collaboration. Most of the time, engagement looks like allowing a member of our research team to come in person or virtually to engage with your service participants.

What Participation Looks Like for Parents

Pregnant, postpartum, and parenting people who join our Data Collective will:

  • Review and sign a consent form for participation.
  • Complete a screener and an initial enrollment survey.
  • Update their survey information every six months.
  • Receive $15 for each completed survey and be invited to participate in additional research projects.

Benefits for Your Organization

By participating, your organization will receive quarterly reports with insights into your clients’ substance use, mental health, and parenting experiences over time. This feedback can inform program improvements and strengthen support for parents with SUD in your community.

Our interns also provide volunteer work at your agency to support them in their understanding of services and community engaged research.
