This week the main things we did in class were our peer reviews and our prototypes.
I’ll talk about the boring one first.
The prototype went well! We got exactly the feedback we hoped we’d get and gained some solid insight on how to really structure our program. Kinda bummed we didn’t get to film since one of our participants didn’t want to be on camera.

Peer reviews went exactly how I thought they would. Everyone was really nice and all criticism was constructive and had a purpose. My team mates thought I was “the anchor” of the team. They feel like I always energize the team to make them want to get work done and get passionate about the project. They said I have the “leadership role”. Some things they told me to work on are asking the quieter members their opinions more and not shooting down ideas flat out. These two things are exactly what I said I wanted to improve on at the beginning of the term. I asked if I was really bad about shooting down ideas and their response was “we needed something bad to say that you could work on, we only noticed you do it once or twice.” Once or twice in 6 weeks seems like a huge improvement to me, so I’m pretty happy. I told them that I was trying to work on it and a way they could help me would be by telling me right when I shoot an idea down that I’m shooting it down. That way I can kinda snap out of my “be an all-knowing ass” trance and re-evaluate the idea presented. Over all a good week, looking forward to making a final draft of the proposal.

I also started feeling very fatigued this week. This may affect my work within the group as well as the group dynamic. I’m working with doctors in the health center so hopefully I can get to the bottom of what’s causing it soon. :/
