My name is Paris Piva, and I am also a Junior in the Educational Foundations major. I am so excited to design a lesson for young students and teach them about computational thinking with this project! Currently, I am working towards becoming a general elementary teacher in a 4th or 5th grade classroom. I have volunteered my time in multiple elementary classrooms in Eugene, volunteered for tutoring programs in the CTL learning clinic at UO, and also have experience leading philosophical discussions in a 5th grade classroom at Adams Elementary. Teaching students about technology and computational thinking will be necessary to prepare them for successful futures when we enter our profession, and this project will prepare us to do just that.
