Mentorship Program

About UOPAGES + UOSPS Mentorship Program

In partner with the University of Oregon’s Society of Physics Chapter, PAGES aims to facilitate undergrad and graduate students interactions through the mentorship program. The program offers undergraduate group or 1-on-1 mentorship with a single graduate student that aims to advise, advocate, and apprentice the next generation of scientists. Mentors and mentees meet for one hour once a month.

Matches are made by the mentorship coordinator and take into consideration information volunteered by both parties. Mentees have and can request mentors that relate to their experiences in: sex and gender identities, BIPOC status, first generation students, research interests, hobbies, or more. Mentees are allowed and encouraged to change once a term until they find a mentor that suits them.
