You’re invited to celebrate The Optical Society’s 100th Anniversary at the Optics Holiday Bash!

This event is free and open to everyone!
The UO Student Chapter of the OSA will celebrate The Optical (OSA) Society’s 100th Anniversary on December 3rd from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Willamette Hall Atrium. The OSA is the leading professional organization in optics and photonics, home to accomplished science, engineering and business leaders from all over the world. This year marks a century of innovation in the optics community.
The purpose of the event is to educate the community about light and optics. All activities are completely free and open to the public. There will be something fun for children of all ages.
Hands-on activities and demonstrations will include Jell-O Lenses, Cloaking Devices, Intro to Circuits and much more. Attendees can attend a live chemistry demo every hour and enter our Dark Room. This event is sponsored by the OSA.
The Optics Holiday Bash will feature a drawing for several optics kits. All children under 15 will receive a free ticket for the drawing.

Parking and Directions
Willamette Hall is on 13th street between Agate & University near the heart of campus. It can be found in grid G7 on the UO parking map. Close parking after regular business hours can be found in staff lots 2&12 (grid G10 &G9). Additional parking can be found on 15th between Agate and University and along University and Agate between 15th and 18th.
